|Client: White Horse Estates||Works: Conversion to five executive apartments|
|Type: Mill House||Duration: 20 weeks|
|Value: £350k||Location: Alvechurch, Warwickshire|
This project involved the extension and restoration of a mill ancillary building dated 1803, to provide additional retail space for Lloyds the Chemist and create five executive one and two bedroom apartments.
In order to create the apartments a new staircase was introduced along with new acoustic floors and walls.
The construction work was sympathetically considered and retained as many of the original mill characteristics as possible.
The programme took five months to complete and has successfully created five quirky and individual modern living spaces. The restoration and retention of the existing oak trusses worked especially well.
